Well Water Supply

Water supply shall comply with the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Well Water Board, and DES rules , Chapters  WE100-1000.

Private well owners should test their well water every three to five years for pollutants commonly found in New Hampshire's groundwater, like arsenic, which is estimated to be present at unhealthy levels in 1 to 5 domestic water wells in New Hampshire. Many contaminants cannot be detected by taste or smell , only thorough laboratory testing. The Be Well Informed interactive web "app" from the NH Department of Environmental Services is designed to help you interpret your water test results and, if your well water has contaminants above state or federal standards or guidelines, provide information about health concerns and appropriate water treatment options.
