You may apply for a marriage license at any Town or City Clerk's office. There is a fee of $50. The license is valid in any New Hampshire town or city. If you are planning on the ceremony taking place out of state, please contact the state in which the ceremony will take place.

The application must be completed and signed by both parties in person. Please allow at least one hour before closing to complete the application. Both parties need to have the following information:

***Date of birth
***State of birth
***Current address
***Social Security Number
***Race
***Ancestry
***Years of education
***Certified record of previous marriage(s) - if applicable
***(Divorce Decree, Annulment Paper or Death Certificate)
***Father's full name and state of birth
***Mother's full name, including maiden name, and state of birth
Licenses are valid for use for 90 days from the date of application.
