The NH Department of Environmental Protection’s Instream Flow Program has contracted Normandeau Associates, Inc. to perform a Protected Instream Flow Study of the Ashuelot River. Field activities for the Study will commence in September 2021 and will continue intermittently (typically limited to periods during the spring, summer and fall) for the next couple of years. You may notice vehicles parked in unusual places, or persons present in the river or nearby riparian areas.
The contractor’s personnel, as well as NHDES personnel who may be accompanying them will make every effort to contact nearby landowners in advance of field activities, as well as to park safely along roadsides so as to avoid being an obstruction or creating a safety hazard.
