Road Shoulders- Bike & Pedestrian Use

The safety of community members continues to be a priority for the town. Delivery trucks and other large vehicles frequently pass through Marlow, posing a potential threat to pedestrians and cyclists. The Board of Selectmen have been in contact with the NH DOT and the Southwest Regional Planning Commission who have offered to conduct a free study on road traffic in town. With this data, the Selectmen plan to figure out a way to minimize traffic and maximize pedestrian safety in Marlow. Some past ideas include widening road shoulders and bypassing route 123 so as to keep thru truckers out of the village center. Unfortunately, due to project costs and length, these are not viable options at the moment. However, the Selectmen will continue to look into ways we can make Marlow more pedestrian friendly.
