Memorial Bridge

A message from the Marlow Witches’ Kayak Regatta Committee

A lot of people have expressed sadness about the Regatta being cancelled but still want to donate to the Covid Memorial Bridge Project which was the designated charity this year. The Regatta is obviously a beloved event and we’re so happy about that! It is very ironic that a fundraiser about Covid was the thing that shut it down.

We are committed to having this Bridge Project go ahead at this important time in our history to honor all the health care workers and essential workers’ bravery and love to those who have lost a loved one.

If you would still like to donate to the Fund you can do so by sending in a check made out to Town of Marlow, and write on the memo line “Covid bridge.” Our goal is the same-to put up a plaque on the bridge in the spring and also flower boxes which will be out of the way of where our children use the bridge in the summer.

So far we have $270.00 towards our goal.

We would like to thank donors by putting all your names in a hat to win our “thank you” gift basket pictured here. The winner will be announced on Thanksgiving Day.

Sincerely,

Jeannie and Roxanne
